Dr. Allan Best
Allan Best is Senior Scientist in the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation, at the Vancouver General Hospital. The Centre's mandate is to promote evidence-based decision-making by creating a culture of inquiry and evaluation in the health care system through research and evaluation, consultation, and education. For the past several years, Allan has focused his research and training program on community partnerships for health research. Current initiatives focus on prevention strategies for chronic disease, evidence-based decision making by local health authorities, and systems approaches to promoting knowledge exchange in the research to policy and practice cycle.
